Tre piccole gioie

On the occasion of the “Doppio Circuito” 2019 residency, organized by the Montelupo Museum Onlus Foundation in partnership with the Municipality of Scandicci (FI), and curated by Matteo Zauli, David Casini collaborated with some local world-class manufacturers. One of these, Verniani, is a historic producer of bags and clutches for Haute Couture.  The artist, Casini, together with Verniani, produced three sculptural brass clutches as part of a workshop with the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. These clutches are modelled on the female portraits of three great names in the history of Italian art such as, in this case, the head of Madame X by Medardo Rosso.
